Ultimate Vocal Remover (UVR) is the GUI that became the default stem-separation tool for the vocal-synth and music-production communities: drop in a track and get vocals, instruments and backing tracks out as separate files.
It bundles multiple model families — MDX-Net and the VR architecture among them — so you can pick the separator that suits the material, and process single files or whole folders in one pass.
Development is active (the October 2026 update thread is pinned in issues), releases are published on GitHub, and the project is community-funded rather than commercial.
