Pixel-art agent that paints sprites tool-by-tool

Deep dive

texel-studio is a browser pixel-art studio where the canvas is programmable: alongside drawing tools it exposes primitives — draw_pixel, draw_pixels, fill_rect, fill_row, fill_column, Bresenham lines, circles and ellipses — so sprites can be scripted, not just clicked.

It connects to AI backends for assisted generation (Ollama for local models, Google AI Studio keys for hosted ones), letting an LLM write the drawing calls for you.

The whole studio runs client-side at texel.studio, and the source is open for self-hosting or studying the primitive API.
